I am not a robot
Hello Pocket Friends,
I asked ChatGPT to write a newsletter post and in about 10 seconds, it came up with this.
As fellow writers and creatives, we understand the challenges that come with balancing work, family, and pursuing our passions. It's not always easy to find the time and energy to create, especially when we're feeling tired and burnt out.
But, we also know that the act of creating can be a powerful antidote to stress and exhaustion. It can help us reconnect with our inner selves, tap into our creativity, and express our unique perspectives.
That's why we want to offer some words of encouragement and a few practical tips for those of you who are feeling tired and drained but still want to write and create.
First, be gentle with yourself. Recognise that it's okay to take a break when you need it. Rest and recharge your batteries so that when you come back to your writing, you can do so with renewed energy and focus.
Second, try to find inspiration in the small moments of everyday life. Take a walk in nature, listen to music, or read a book. These small activities can help you tap into your creativity and bring new ideas to your writing.
Third, experiment with new writing techniques and styles. Try writing in a different genre or format. Mix things up and challenge yourself to try something new. This can help you break out of creative ruts and keep your writing fresh and exciting.
And finally, remember that you are not alone. We all experience creative blocks and moments of exhaustion. Reach out to other writers and creatives in your community for support, advice, and encouragement.
But let's be real, it hasn't been easy. Between writing, editing, and promoting my work, I've been feeling pretty tired lately. That's why I've been taking some time to indulge in my other creative passions, such as bookbinding. And speaking of bookbinding, I recently acquired a new envelope punch board for my Etsy shop. This handy tool has made it so much easier to create beautiful and unique envelopes for my handmade cards, invitations, and letters. It's been a great way to diversify the stock range and bring new and exciting products to my shop.
But it's not all work and no play. I'm also looking forward to indulging in some Easter treats this weekend. There's nothing like a little chocolate to lift the spirits and make all the hard work worthwhile. And while I'm on the topic of entertainment, I recently finished watching "The Last of Us" and loved every minute of it. The storytelling was powerful, the characters were compelling, and the production values were top-notch. It's a reminder of the power of storytelling across all mediums.
As always, I'm grateful for your support and encouragement.
This is me now - We have just spent the last 20 years freely giving away and sharing every personal insight online and now many of us lead our whole social lives on our phones, so we have only ourselves to blame. It’s called the World Wide Web after all.
Until next time,

PS This is my latest earworm. It’s all my favourite early 80s styles in one. The keyboards, Duranny bass, Bryan Ferry swagger, Princess Diana hair, and a good tune. Please enjoy.
